Relipidation and Restructuration of Dry Skin.
Positive and specific modulation of epidermal lipid synthesis. Strengthening of the extracellular multilamellar cement.
(carried on human skin explants / 29-year-old woman)
Ceramides, that are the largest polar lipid class of the epidermis, play a major role in the regulation of the epidermal barrier, particularly in dry skins and in atopic dermatitis where ceramide concentrations are reduced. Cholesterol and cholesterol sulfate are the largest neutral lipid class of the epidermis. They play a major role in the cohesion-dishesion properties of the epidermal horny cells and therefore in the desquamation process.
An emulsion containing 2% of Soline® increases significantly the neosynthesis of cerebrosides, ceramides and cholesterol.
A 2% Soline® emulsion topically applied on human full thickness skin can positively and specifically modulate the epidermal lipid pattern ex-vivo.
These results were confirmed by clinical evaluations.
Efficacy and safety tests have been done on the standard version of Soline

The application of a 2% Soline® emulsion leads to a significant improvement of the moisturization of skin outlayers - immediate and long lasting effect.
Clinical evaluation of the effect of a 2% Soline® emulsion performed in 20 adult volunteers with a very dry and squamous body skin. Repeated applications, twice a day for 4 consecutive weeks, improve significantly the skin aspect.
Efficacy and safety tests have been done on the standard version of Soline
